Pepper Pimento

Pimento Pepper is a beautiful, productive pepper with large, round to heart-shaped fruits and a mild, sweet flavour. The bright red fruits are excellent for fresh eating, cooking, stuffing, sauces, salads and preserving.

Unlike hot chilli peppers, pimento peppers have very little heat, making them a great choice for the whole family. They are also rich in vitamin C and contain antioxidants such as carotenoids.

Growing & Care

Sun: Plant in full sun for the best growth and fruit production.
Soil: Prefers fertile, well-drained soil enriched with compost or well-rotted manure.
Water: Keep the soil evenly moist, especially during flowering and fruit development, but avoid waterlogging.
Feeding: Feed regularly with compost or a balanced fertiliser during the growing season.
Spacing: Allow about 40–50 cm between plants for good growth and air circulation.
Harvest: Pick when the fruits reach their full size. Allow them to ripen on the plant until they turn bright red for the sweetest flavour.

A wonderful addition to the vegetable garden for gardeners who want a flavourful, colourful pepper without the strong heat of chillies.
