French Lavender (Lavandula dentata) is a beautiful, aromatic evergreen shrub loved for its soft grey-green foliage and delicate purple flowers. Its finely toothed (“dentata”) leaves release a pleasant lavender fragrance when touched, making it a favourite for herb gardens, borders, pathways, and containers.
Unlike some other lavender varieties, French Lavender can flower for a long period throughout warm seasons, adding colour, fragrance, and pollinator activity to the garden. Bees and butterflies are strongly attracted to the flowers, making it an excellent plant for pollinator-friendly gardens.
This hardy and drought-tolerant plant thrives in sunny, well-drained conditions and is ideal for Mediterranean-style gardens, herb gardens, and dry landscapes.
