Coppice in late August to produce a fresh harvest that can be harvested continuously for the following 11 months, until the next coppicing.

Eucalyptus parvula - Small Leaf Florist Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus parvula, commonly known as Small Leaf Florist Eucalyptus, is a highly prized foliage plant in the floral industry, valued for its small, uniform leaves, neat branching structure and fresh, clean eucalyptus fragrance. Its dense, shrub-like growth produces excellent stems for bouquets, flower arrangements and foliage displays, both fresh and dried.
Unlike many eucalyptus species, Eucalyptus parvula is heat-tolerant and relatively tolerant of wet conditions and waterlogged soils, making it well suited to challenging growing conditions. Regular harvesting encourages vigorous new growth and helps maintain a productive, well-branched plant.
Growing Instructions
Position: Plant in full sun for the best growth and foliage production. Allow plenty of space for the plant to develop into a large, bushy shrub.
Soil: Adaptable to a range of soils and is more tolerant of moist and poorly drained soils than many other eucalyptus species. However, good soil preparation and drainage are still beneficial for healthy long-term growth.
Watering: Water regularly while plants are establishing. Once established, Eucalyptus parvula is reasonably drought tolerant, but additional water may be beneficial during the hot, dry months of September and October, particularly when growing for commercial foliage production.
Pruning & harvesting: For a continuous supply of florist foliage, coppice in late August. This encourages fresh, vigorous shoots and produces a new crop of usable stems. The new growth can then be harvested progressively throughout the following 11 months, until the next annual coppicing. Regular harvesting also encourages a dense, well-branched plant.
Harvesting for floristry: Cut young, healthy stems when the foliage is fresh and well developed. The stems can be used fresh or dried, making Eucalyptus parvula an excellent choice for florists, flower farmers and home gardeners who enjoy creating arrangements.
Growth habit: A vigorous, dense, multi-branched shrub when regularly harvested. Give plants sufficient space to develop and maintain good airflow around the foliage.
